Br. D. John Newton

In the year 1977 on July 4th baby boy was born Prematurely, to the family of R.William Newton and Eliza Newton. Doctors lost hope about the survival of baby but the mother Eliza Newton prayed to the Lord that if the child survies he would be dedicated to serve the Lord.

He was named Daniel John Newton. He was brought up in this missionary family in the fear of God. His father R.W.Newton was a well known Preacher and Prophet of the time. John Newton was baptized at the age of 12. and he as a young boy was distributing gospel tracts and helping his Pastor Alwyn Colaco in his own little way.

But as he grew up the desire to be a great musician pulled him towards the world and he started playing and singing for secular beat groups. His family and others were praying for this young man to be used by God for His glory.

John’s father and Evangelist Roshan Jathanna were friends too in the ministry. And one day Johns father was pouring his heart out to Roshan Jathanna to counsel his son to come out of secular world to be useful in Gods kingdom. the Gospel was shared to John. John gave his life to Jesus in the year of 1998 January. And July 4th of the same year which was Johns Birthday his father went to be with the Lord.

After the death of his father the responsibility of the church fell over Johns shoulder at the tender age of 21. he continued to pastor this church for over 10 years.

John was seeking for little fame in the secular world in the music field. But Lord took this young man into His hand and began using John even more in His kingdom with talents of Composing songs, singing, Directing, and leading and organizing the events for the kingdom of God.

According to Lords vision a new chapter began in his life in the year 2006 where he moved into an evangelistic and mass media ministry which is spreading the message of the Gospel through songs and music.

In the year 2005 October 11th John Newton married Beulah who was a Talented singer and the Lord blessed this couple with 2 sons. ( Jaron and Darren ) He and Beulah as a family continues to minister the Gospel message through songs and music and via Mass media .
